Via No Restraining Order Can Stop My Ships!It bugs me that so many people see Destiel shippers as nothing more than a bunch of rabid fetishists who want to make the pretty boys kiss.
For me… I really want Dean’s character to be happy, to have someone. And I think Cas is honestly his only chance at that. Cas is the only one who will ever understand what he does and why he does it. Cas is the only one who will ever love him so unconditionally.
They’ve seen each other at their worsts, and they still end up back on the same team, over and over again. They’ve hurt each other in unimaginable ways already, and they’ve still found a way to trust one another again. Their relationship has and can survive anything. That’s why they should be together.
Sam has never been as ‘all in’ as Dean. He could still go and be ‘normal’ and get married and have babies and stuff. He could walk away. Dean isn’t like Sam. Cas is Dean’s only chance.
On a side note, this is also why I ship Johnlock. No one will ever live up to Sherlock for John, and John really is Sherlock’s best shot at having a life partner. I think he loves John as much as he’ll ever love anyone, and that seems to be enough for John. They take care of each other, need each other, put up with each other, and they still love one another (romantically or otherwise) at the end of the day. It makes them a bit perfect for each other. Just sayin’.
While I, as a Wincest shipper, don’t personally agree with you about Destiel(not trying to be mean here; I can see your point, but I could also point out how Sam and Dean always come back to each other, but that’s not why I’m commenting), I do agree with you about Johnlock.
No, I totally respect your right to disagree. And I agree that Sam and Dean do always come back to each other. I guess I just expect that of family, so I’ve never seen it as being as impressive. It is though… no doubt. As much as Sam talks about walking away, he’s not very good at really leaving Dean behind. But I still don’t really ship Wincest (though I’d be more than happy to watch it LOL).

Also, kids, this is how people who don’t ship the same ships should act. Did you see that? We both respected each other’s opinions while asserting our own stance and all without name calling. Unheard of, I know. Always happy to demonstrate, though.
